INTERNING WITH HEALTHY FAMILIES

Each year, Healthy Families hosts a number of JMU student interns. JMU faculty and students from all departments are encouraged to get involved! These are the stories of some of those student interns and the faculty who connect them to our program. If you're wondering if Healthy Families might be a good placement for you, click through the slides below.

"From my interview until the last day I was in the office, I was welcomed."

"If I could emphasize one thing about Healthy Families that made my experience so worthwhile, it would be the warm and supportive environment they created."

- Lauren M., Student Intern 2015

This video was created by a JMU graduate student intern. It highlights Healthy Families (and our beloved retiree Becky Kipps) and what we're all about.

PAST INTERNS: WHERE ARE THEY NOW?

For years now, Healthy Families has allowed students from JMU, primarily from the College of Health and Behavioral Studies majors but open to any student, to complete field practicum hours or internships with Healthy Families. Click through the slideshow to read more about how past interns reflect on their experiences with Healthy Families, and where they are now.
